Lecture/Trunk Show Topics
"My Quilts Aren't Quiet"
The story of my humble beginnings as a quilt maker to my current quilts.
I'll show and tell many of my Judy Niemeyer quilts and with a few others thrown in.
"Coloring my Quilt World"
I'll show and tell how and where I go about picking colors and fabrics for my quilts through a showing of some of my Judy Niemeyer quilts and others quilts I have made. P.S. I won't bore you about color wheel theory.
"Challenge Me"
I love a Challenge, in this lecture and trunk show I will show most of the Challenge Quilts and wearable art pieces that I have made and maybe one that I am currently working on. Challenges are usually on the small side so they are a great way to try something new, something that will get you out of your comfort zone. Check out some of they crazy things I came up with for some of the Challenges I have done.

Fun Fabulous Fabric Ornaments
Enjoy a fun relaxing workshop with Cindy making one of these beautiful ornaments that are so much easier than they look. Cindy will guide you in the process of applying the fabric medallion to your Styrofoam ball and adding the embellishments. She will show you all the tricks she has learned in making these very addicting works of art.
One Block Wonder with Panels
In class I will be showing
you how to use your panels in a One Block Wonder Quilt. I will
teach you all the steps involved in preparing your panels to cut, sew
your hexies, and designing around your center focal panel. I will
also show you how to set in your center panel into the quilt.
One Fabric Kaleidoscope Quilt
Using one beautiful Border Stripe fabric and Jason Yenter’s
directions with a few tweaks that I have figured out to make the
quilt easier and quicker. I will show you how to make this
awesome quilt in either a generously sized lap quilt or a smaller
version for a wall hanging. I will also show you how to make this
quilt using any border print you find.
Kits are provided
for this class.
Jelly Roll Messenger Bag
Have you made a Jelly Roll Rug? Do you enjoy making purses and bags.
Now you can combine the two and make this fun messenger bag. I have
designed this bag with two pockets in the front and one large pocket
in the back. You can use a Jelly Roll or cut your own fabric strips,
I used scraps for mine. There is some pre-class homework to do, but
this is so that I can show you how to put it all together in class.
You might even leave class with a finished bag!
Beaded Measuring TapeWant a fun class with very little supplies to bring to class? Want
to add a little bling to your sewing room? I have designed a beaded
tape measure cover that is fun and easy to make. These are so easy
that you can impress your sewing/quilting friends with one as a gift.
Kits are provided for this class.
